Rev. Jack H. Robinson, PhD.
Rev. Robinson is currently serving as our Interim Minister. He received his B.A. from Hendrix College, his M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Saint Louis University. As an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), he has pastored churches in Hammond, Louisiana, St. Louis, Missouri, and Lexington, Kentucky. He has also written sermons and articles published widely in journals.
Laura Lee Brother
In a previous life, Laura Lee was a Microsoft Office trainer. When she and her husband, Matt, settled down in Mt. Sterling to raise their two sons, she began farming with her Dad. Now she splits her time between taking care of cows in the morning and parishioners in the afternoon.
Beverly brings years of experience as a piano teacher to enhance our worship services. She and her husband, Dale, have 3 sons and several grand children.
Ashley is a retired elementary and middle school teacher. He now cares for our facilities and plays the piano for two other churches.
Having always called Mt. Sterling home, Melanie has directed the voices at First Presbyterian since 2010. She is also a music teacher at a local elementary school. Melanie earned her bachelors and masters degrees in music education from Morehead State University.
George has been with First Presbyterian since 1967. He is responsible for the maintenance of the church’s facilities and general property and grounds keeping. A World War II veteran, George has served the church through 12 ministers.
